Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton

Donald Trump walked slowly and 'stalked' Hillary Clinton during moments of debate. A decision probably driven by the stress of a stressful event.

Clinton was strategic in deciding to walk freely on the stage when he answered a question and put himself in front of Trump, which made him seem to be stalking her, because he had no where else to turn.

Reality Check: Who voted for Donald Trump?

Resultado de imagen de Reality Check: Who voted for Donald Trump?

SUMMARY:

Donald Trump cattle Hillary Clinton in the race to be president of the United States.
It is very difficult to get a genuinely representative sample of how more than 120 million people have voted. It is a big survey - of almost 25,000 voters - and they are the best figures available, but they should be used with caution.
In the election there are a breakdown of voting by race and by age.

OPINION:

I try to find reasons why people vote for trump but I can not find one. I try to think of good things that can happen in your legislature but I can not even think of one. If you ask me bad things that can happen in your legislature I think I would not stop giving you reasons until tomorrow. I can only think of one reason why Americans have voted to Trump i is that the world is going crazy. With this reason you can also understand why the Spaniards have voted for our "dearest" President Rajoy.

VOCABULARY:

Nonetheless: Sin embargo
Poll: Encuesta
slightly: Ligeramente

We've got human intelligence all wrong

Resultado de imagen de We've got human intelligence all wrong

SUMMARY:
The human brain has nearly 100,000 times as many neurons as the bee brain, yet the rudiments of many of our most valued behaviours can be seen in the teeming activity of the hive.
About one-fifth of all you eat is used to power the electrical chit-chat between your 100 billion little grey cells. We can multi-task.

COMMENTARY:
Culture, technology, altruism and many other traits have all been touted as signs of human greatness – but the more you look, the narrower that list becomes. Macaques, for instance, have long been known to pick up stones to crack nuts while New Caledonian crows can craft hooks from a broken stick to help them pick up food - both rudimentary forms of tool use.

VOCABULARY:
lazily: Perezosamente
behaviours: Conductas
humpback: Jorobado

YOUR SAY

Fear of change.

Almost nobody likes change and many people prefer to forget what they really want rather than face any kind of change. However, the changes do not have to be for bad, on the contrary, they can bring you many good things (surely you remember an occasion when a change was for good).

On the other hand, human beings adapt to practically everything and is something to keep in mind, that we adapt to new things and start to consider them normal in a short time (and someone tells you who has changed city, country , And career).

TRIUMPH

What can be worse than failure? An imaginary triumph. After all, when you fail a project, you can try to reduce the consequences. Or if it is not possible, at least learn from the experience and work harder on the next try.On the other hand, an imaginary triumph can make us believe that we are on the right track, when in fact we are losing. And if we realize the error, it may be too late to correct it.Many people agree with this view. I'm sure if you do a survey asking yourself what it takes to succeed in life. The "Mucho dinero" option would be in place 20 in a list of 22. Among the first places would be health, get along with others and work on what one likes. For many of us it is easy to distinguish between actual and imaginary success ... at least when we are asked. But we may not be so clear about the difference in making decisions that affect our lives.

YOUR SAY

I was completely alone at home. It was almost midnight and my parents had gone out with some friends and I was watching my favourite TV programme.

The night the lights went out

In December rainstorms are quite common but the weather forecast for that day was said to be totally unusual, hailstorms and even snowstorms had been announced.
All of a sudden the electricity was cut off. I decided to go down to the garage so as to get a torch. When I came back to my bedroom in the second floor it had been was all flooded and the water had covered mostly the whole room.
At that time I was only concerned about the excuses I would have to make up when my parents returned. However, there was something really odd because I remembered having closed the window pane while I was watching TV.
I was frozen with terror but I ran downstairs to get the phone, I knew something was bad. On getting to the main floor I stumbled and broke my left leg.
Suddenly, the lights were shining again and my parents and closest friends turned up shouting and asking me if I was fine. Actually I wasn't at all! Though the Holy Innocents Day joke had been really well prepared.

MY BUCKET LIST

Having goals is of vital importance in order to achieve a full and meaningful life. Knowing what you want and evaluating from time to time if you are on the right path will help you to remind yourself what you want in your life.

I do not know if life itself will have any meaning or if we will be in this world to fulfill some mission, but what I do know is that it is very important that you seek a meaning, and if you do not find it you believe it.
This is my list of things to do before you die.

My bucket list

1. Riding on one of the largest roller coasters in the world
2. Swim with dolphins in freedom
3. Get a tattoo
4. Parachute
5. Stepping on 7 continents
6. Speak English practically to perfection
7. Spend at least one year traveling the world
8. Do diving
9. See an active volcano
10. Explore the Pyramids of Egypt
11. Volunteering abroad
12. Doing shelter for an animal shelter

13. Try to improve the world
14. Go adding to this list all the things I can think

LAZARUS

David Bowie

Look up here, I'm in heaven
I've got scars that can't be seen
I've got drama, can't be stolen
Everybody knows me now

Look up here, man, I'm in danger
I've got nothing left to lose
I'm so high it makes my brain whirl
Dropped my cell phone down below
Ain't that just like me?

By the time I got to New York
I was living like a king
There I'd used up all my money
I was looking for your ass
This way or no way
You know, I'll be free
Just like that bluebird
Now, ain't that just like me?
Oh, I'll be free
Just like that bluebird
Oh, I'll be free
Ain't that just like me?

4.Why is David Bowie important in terms of English culture? Provide data.

David Bowie was an English rock star known for dramatic musical transformations, including his character Ziggy Stardust. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.

5.In your opinion, why is western culture so afraid of death? Are there rites of passage to death in other cultures? Can we learn from them? Why/why not?

Many Westerners consider death a taboo subject and [it’s] considered a social faux pas when broached in conversation, especially when it refers to someone who has recently died. The irony is that everyone currently alive…will eventually die despite the fact that so few people seem to actually consider his or her own mortality. He follows the ages and differing cultures in their attitudes toward death and states that for those of us in the West, death — especially in the Middle Ages and prior — was merely a “fact of life” when it was much more common and in the open. While we still consider death a taboo subject, there are also other cultures around the world in which it is not spoken of. He specifically mentions Australian aboriginals who, upon someone’s death, remove any pictures of that person from public display or cover their faces, “erasing their image as if they never existed.”But death occurs every single day. We’re surrounded by it. There are rites of passage to death in other cultures. We can learn from them because simply by being born, we are on a path straight to death. Nothing we do can alter that (or can it?).
But it really is no wonder that the fear is deep-seated given the horrible circumstances surrounding death that is constantly presented to us in media and entertainment. The path to acceptance isn’t an easy one to traverse, but one well worth being on.

REVIEW

WAR DOGS

SUMMARY:
"War Dogs" follows two friends in their early 20s (Hill and Teller) living in Miami Beach during the Iraq War who exploit a little-known government initiative that allows small businesses to bid on U.S. Military contracts. Starting small, they begin raking in big money and are living the high life. But the pair gets in over their heads when they land a 300 million dollar deal to arm the Afghan Military--a deal that puts them in business with some very shady people, not the least of which turns out to be the U.S. Government.

OPINION:
At best, War Dogs is a missed creative opportunity; at worst, it's a quasi-celebration of two vile schemers, one that ignores the brutality of the world they capitalized on.
The characters have no memories, no identities, no range of interests, no personal connections, no idiosyncrasies beyond the dictates of the plot and the numbingly clear point that the filmmakers use it to make.
